Chris Cosgrove, MD, grew up in North Carolina's mountains in the small town of Hendersonville. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate studies, where he earned a B.A. in Biology. Chris went on to attend UNC-Chapel Hill medical school, where he was awarded M.D. with honors. He did his internship and residency in internal medicine at Shands Hospital with the University of Florida in Gainesville. Chris also served as the chief medical resident for the University of Florida for one year following his residency training completion. Chris is married to Billie Forehand Cosgrove (a Wilmington girl), who he met in medical school and a practicing dermatologist in our community. Chris and Billie have three children...Spencer, Eleanor, and Lena Rose.
